Location
Located in the village Polje, rural environment, houses surrounded by a nice Garden, equipped with a children’s playground, view of the mountains.
The footpath behind the house leads to the crystal clear Sava Bohinjka river that is perfect for swimming in the summer. Fly fishing is allowed on the river from Bohinj lake to Bohinjska Bistrica.
There’s a restaurant within a walking distance – Gostilna Pr’Pristavc. You can taste or purchase the local cottage cheese, the gourment cheese Mohant, yogurt and variety of pastry at a nearby organic dairy farm Pr’Tonejovc.
It is an ideal starting point to visit lake Bohinj (2 km) and lake Bled (20 km), mountain peaks with breathtaking views or hidden beautiful waterfalls. Several marked easy hiking trails pass by our village.
Winter offers a cross-country skiing paradise. If the snow conditions are good, the tracks lead along both Bohinj valleys. The alpine ski centres Vogel and Soriška planina are also in the area.
The famous Savica waterfall is 10 km and Bled lake 25 km away.
Free car parking is available next to the house. If you are arriving by public transport, the connection to Ljubljana is ideal, since the bus stop is only 100 m away. Bus rides to the lake are also well organized, more frequent in the main summer season. Entrance to the Bohinj bike path is 200m from the house.
Grocery, bakery, railway station, pharmacy etc. can be found in Bohinjska Bistrica (4 km).
